Revenue Generation
TeleHealth Services will continue to grow rapidly as CMS expands the number of essential services with approved billing codes. Services currently cover general practitioners, specialists and a wide range of therapists. Each will have their own telehealth system.

It is economically unsound for a nursing home to invest the time and funds to support and train personnel on the numerous and diverse telehealth systems being used by clinicians, therapists, etc.  Instead, a nursing home should have their own telehealth system.  The benefits are operating efficiency and additional cash flow.

As shown in the table labelled CMS Billing, telehealth can generate a monthly cashflow, after all expenses, of $3,108 per 100 residents and $37,296 annually.

Free TeleHealth System Option

The TeleHealth System is easy to use and provides all clinicians with an app that runs on PCs, tablets and smartphones.  Nursing home residents can use similar devices and exams can be conducted within nursing home designated exam rooms or within the resident's rooms.  The System is available in capacities ranging from one to ten concurrent telehealth calls.

To aid exams, the KnowFalls TeleHealth System enables multiple cameras to be focused on the patient.  For example, two cameras can be mounted on a mobile cart.  One camera can view the patients face and upper torso and the other camera (which is mounted on an attenuating mount) can view any other area of the patient's body.  This is especially useful for podiatry exams and viewing leg and ankle edema.
