I apologize for not individually contacting you, but the pandemic has made one-on-one calls difficult.
As you know, the above-referenced grant is divided into two disbursements. The first is for increased testing, staffing, PPE needs, and the establishment of isolation facilities. The second, a performance-based grant, requiring programs and technology to prevent and control COVID-19 spread.
The KnowFalls technology-based product line addresses both grants. Addressing the first grant is the KnowFalls Virtual Patient Engagement System. It enables infected patients to be isolated within their rooms. The System provides caregiver-patient audio/video engagement, records patient actions, generates reports on COVID-19 symptoms, and reduces physical rounds and PPE.
KnowFalls, as shown in Exhibit 1 and 2, has multiple systems providing technology-based solutions addressing the performance-based requirements of the second grant. A detailed explanation of the systems is provided within the web site we created specifically for addressing the CARES Act funding requirements.
A key differentiator of the KnowFalls systems offering is their post-Pandemic use. For example, the Virtual Patient Engagement System can be utilized for virtually monitoring fall-risk and post-op patients. Also, we propose that a nursing home own a telehealth system. First, it simplifies interfacing with numerous external healthcare providers, especially when CMS expands the assignment of CPT codes, and secondly, telehealth is a revenue generator.
